Josep Maria Cullell i Nadal

Born in Barcelona, married and 4 children.

Bachelor in Business Administration from ESADE in Economics from UAB and doctoral “troisième cycle” by the University of Montpellier.

He has taught Political Economy and Public Finance in diferent Catalan Universities. He has written books on Economic and Business issues and has collaborated in diferent media.

From 1979 to 1980 he was Town councillor of Finance in the Town Council  of Barcelona, where he was also responsable for the opposition (1987-1993). He has been Minister of Regional Planning and Public Works in the Generalitat of Catalonia (1980-1983, 1993-1994), Minister of Finance and Economy in the Generalitat of Catalonia (1983-1987), Member of the Comission of Transfers from the Central Administration to the Generalitat (1977-1984, 1984-1990) and currently President of The National Advisory Council of the political party Convergència i Unió.  Is an associate membre of the cabinet of lawyers and economists CULLELL ASSOCIATS and President of Projectes d’Inversió 2007, S.A., from 1995,  President  of FIRA 2000, S.A. (2003-2004) and adviser actually, ACESA adviser (2008-2012) , President of TABASA (Tunnels of Barcelona) 2011, currently President of the Barcelona Tram. Member of Internacional Auditors of Prefecture for the Economic affairs of the Holy See from 2002.
